LIVE set via Twitch performed in the Golden Shrimp Guild's SYNTHFEST! A truly awesome group of synth-head-people.
The theme was "The Perfect Glitch. So I took the word "glitch" and interpreted it in several ways to present different types of pieces.
[The last piece is solo piano, and was not performed on the Synthfest, but a week before in preparation for it. I ended up NOT performing on piano in the actual Synthfest due to time, but I include it here, as it was a part of my "glitch intent"].
"Opening" is included here for fun, as this is how I started, and I will include a bonus download of that opening vid with purchase of the album.
"No Room" is a song that came from me playing an acoustic bass line into my phone, and the words came. The song's main harmonic content comes from manipulating that ONE bass sample, then adding some percussion, and that's it. So this bass-line is manipulated and glitched to create all sorts of textures in this piece. I was a bit unhappy with the vocal levels in the live performance, so I re-recorded it here for you, dear listener.
"Ba-Men S-example" is paying homage to that famous drum sample we all know and love, and has been glitched-out by so many. It did not escape me, either, OK? OK.
"IDION-dispersion" is a larger multi-movement work, with structure influenced by modern classical music, yet the ingredients are electronic.
"E-BIT" takes samples of the incredible Bleeptemple (of Australia) while performing live on Twitch and massively manipulating and glitching out on them, adding a lot of stuff on top, to create a lovely high-energy-glitchy-sonic-goo.
"The Returning" is a live performance (slightly shorter) version of a previous release.
"My Cecil-Ghost Obsession" - continues my obsession and love for one of my musical heroes: Cecil Taylor.

effin izzy is a persona developed many years ago as a way for me to express my punk side. When I was in school studying serious classical music, I did not feel that I could do my "bad boy" stuff and explore that side of myself. Hence, the effin izzy persona. Effin comes from Effen, an old name in human history. -and there's another reason I won't get into here...
THANK YOU DEAR LISTENER for your support.
You mean everything to me.
