This work was commissioned by the Puppetsweat Theater (headed by Bob Bresnik and Leslie Weinberg).

Originally performed with shadow puppets live,
it premiered in New Haven,
was workshopped and performed at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center,
and at Wesleyan University.

It headlined at La Mama in 2000 as a part of the Henson International Puppet Festival.

The live version also has a narration.
The work has had a life of its own,
and can be performed without narration, or puppets.
